The Promenade Fish Bar is housed in a beautiful Grade 2 listed building, located in the centre of the spa village of Matlock Bath, which is twinned with Eaubonne in France. It has been a Fish and Chip Shop for the last 50 years, and has been in the same hands for the last 15 years.
We refurbished The Promenade in February 2007, and installed a brand new, four pan, Preston and Thomas frying range, whilst keeping the same layout of the shop and frontage.
Our motto is:
We never serve food, that we will not eat ourselves.
Therefore we ensure our food is always of the best quality, including fresh fish, potatoes prepared and chipped in house and sauces which are also prepared freshly.
We try keeping the authenticity in our trade, by selling quirky items such as, Spam Fritters, Saveloys, Pickled Eggs, Pickled Onions, Cockles and Mussels.
You will be served in an informal but polite atmosphere, by members of staff who have been educated in food hygiene.
We are able and regularly cater for large parties and are capable for a very fast turnover.
